Penny Dreadful: City of Angels lulled everyone into a false sense of security up until the final few minutes. While no one should spoil the end of episode 9 for anyone, it certainly does set a tone for the finale next week. It seemed that this episode was about settling all family business. Lewis (Nathan Lane) is closing in on the Nazi’s in Los Angeles. The Vega seems to be revealing all their secrets in this episode. Let’s get into what occurred tonight. Here are our 5 takeaways.

5. Secrets on the table –

(L-R): Kerry Bishé as Sister Molly, Jessica Garza as Josefina Vega, Daniel Zovatto as Tiago Vega, Adriana Barraza as Maria Vega, Adam Rodriguez as Raul Vega and Johnathan Nieves as Mateo Vega in PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS, “Sing, Sing, Sing.” Photo Credit: Warrick Page/SHOWTIME.

Everyone knows almost everything, and no one has died. This is a good thing!

4. Peace?

Is this peace or the last supper? Based on the last few minutes of episode 9, I am beginning to think the finale is going to be very bloody.

3. Huh –

It seems that these brothers are at peace as well. How long will it last?

2. Daddy –

Not even daddy can save your expressway.

1. Toe to Toe –

Loved seeing Lane’s character go toe to toe with the gentleman from the Nazi party. Something tells me that this isn’t the last time we will see this.
